Luminous Oak Academy

A very warm welcome to the Luminous Oak Academy

Luminous Oak Academy will be a specialist school for children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs located in Boorley Green, Hampshire. The school will provide education for up to 125 children aged 8-16, as a result of the increased demand within the Hampshire special school system. The new £17.9 million school is due to open in September 2026.

With a distinctive therapeutic curriculum, pupils will be well equipped with skills, knowledge and the understanding needed to access further education, employment and independent living during adulthood. 

When naming the new school, we involved the children from Littlegreen Academy and looked for a name that reflected the site and the vision for the school. There is a large Oak tree on the site of the new school which is why they have incorporated it in the name.
